Obstetrical Ultrasound 2nd Trimester 3D/4D Ultrasound Seattle
The prime time to evaluate fetal anatomy is between 18-22 weeks. In some instances your physician may feel important to perform an ultrasound prior or after this time-frame. Depending of the gestational age of the baby a second trimester scan can provide a wealth of information for your physician in regards to the health and well-being of your pregnancy. We use the 3D/4D ultrasound technology to enhance the quality of the imaging and help identify abnormalities in the fetal development.
Sometimes it may be difficult to obtain all of the necessary anatomy pictures needed to complete this ultrasound. If that occurs, you may be asked to walk around in order to allow the baby to reposition. If this is unsuccessful, you may have to be rescheduled for a repeat scan.
